Cindy Housner – Executive Director and Founder
Cindy has spent her career expanding sports opportunities for individuals with physical or visual disabilities. She has coached internationally and she is an active speaker and strong advocate for inclusion in school athletics. Cindy holds a Bachelors degree in Therapeutic Recreation and Adaptive PE and a Masters in Exceptional Education.
Tom Daily – Program Director
Tom has served GLASA as a coach and program director since 2007. He is responsible for facilitating GLASA’s ability awareness school presentations and he also maintains GLASA’s extensive inventory of adaptive equipment. In addition to his professional skills, Tom also plays wheelchair basketball and sled hockey.
Cherie Hrusovsky – Development Director
Cherie joined GLASA in 2007 as Office Manager. She quickly moved into the Development Director role where she cultivates relationships with corporations, sponsors and donors. Cherie manages all of our special events and helps facilitate GLASA’s marketing and social media efforts.
Diana Helt – Grants and Program Evaluation Director
Diana began her career as a Program Director at various Paralympic Sport Clubs and then transitioned into an administrative role at GLASA where she gathers and disseminates data related to the impact that sport participation has on those with physical disabilities. Diana is also responsible for managing GLASA’s grant program that supports approximately 30% of our programming.
Micaela Venus – Program Director and Volunteer Coordinator
Micaela began her GLASA career as the Volunteer Coordinator in 2015 and took on the additional responsibilities of Program Director in April 2017. Micaela holds a degree in Recreational Therapy from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse and is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
Jourdan Thunberg – Program Director
Jourdan Thunberg is a Program Director at Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association (GLASA). She graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in Leisure Studies, emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation. She became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and has worked in a variety of settings, such as community recreation, residential treatment, rehabilitation hospital, Department of Veterans Affairs, Special Olympics and adaptive recreation. She is a certified coach in archery, basketball, soccer, and track & field
Aileen Pecora – Accountant

GLASA is also supported by many highly skilled coaches who have sport experience and certifications from: The National Council for Therapeutic Recreation, National Association for Sport and Physical Education- Adapted Physical Education, USA Track and Field, US Golf Association, USA Hockey, USA Swimming, USA Judo, US Weightlifting, the National Wheelchair Basketball Association, the United States Tennis Association, and Safe Sport.
